Why is fluency important?
Fluency leads to strong comprehension and a love of reading. Fluent readers read easily and accurately, and are able to devote their full attention to understanding and enjoying the story.
How does this program build fluency?
- Students learn the phonics and word-attack skills needed for fluent reading.
- Students participate in fluency training exercises.
- Students develop and reinforce their skills through independent reading.
