Why is a love of reading important?
- Children who read for pleasure achieve greater success in school.
- Good books satisfy young readers’ desire for meaning, and help them face the challenges of childhood with confidence.
How will this program help my child develop a love of reading?
- As students become more fluent and comprehension improves, they become more deeply absorbed in stories.
- Students read classic works of children’s literature and participate in discussions that help them enter more fully into the world of the book.
- We'll launch your child on a program of independent reading in classic children's novels such as Charlotte’s Web, Where the Red Fern Grows, and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
