Students read and discuss a classic novel over the course of the program. At home, they use an interactive DVD designed to build comprehension and help them more deeply explore the meaning of the book.

In class, students use a science textbook and other non-fiction to practice study skills like previewing, identifying main ideas, and note-taking.

Word Power
This vocabulary workbook teaches students to analyze prefixes, suffixes, and Greek and Latin roots. Students learn over 200 words that commonly appear on the SAT and ACT.

Program Guide & Booklist
The Program Guide includes a booklist that summarizes hundreds of the best books for high school students. Students receive individualized guidance about selecting the right books for their personal reading.
